"The Gay Marriage Thing" by Stephanie Higgins: (http://www.thegaymarriagething.com/) An extremely fair and compassionate documentary, following a lesbian couple as they prepare for their wedding, surrounded by the political turmoil in Massachusetts. The damned thing made me cry! I didn't see the documentary that won at the festival, so it may have been brilliant, but this one would have been my choice, I think."
